About me

The issues that I am most passionate about right now are:

  1. Expanding IPv6 Adoption:
    • Continued widespread use of IPv4 is catastrophically bad,
    • Technologies like NAT and Carrier-Grade NAT are hiding this reality from the general public and IT professionals alike,
    • expansion of IPv6 infrastructure and workflows is vital.
  2. The importance of selfhosting

I've been working with computers for a very long time now, with my journey starting way back in middle school where I developed an interest in tinkering with my home network.

Near the end of high school I stopped pursuing filmmaking as my career trajectory mostly thanks to COVID. But I was able to fill the gap that left by tinkering with my computer and figuring out Linux. This eventually cemented in me deciding to study computer science.

In college, I found that the CS program I joined--which should have been focused on cybersecurity--was around 80% software engineering. While I couldn't get the CS department to update the program, I filled in the gaps by studying certifications and putting more effort into my homelab
